Macmillan Christmas Star for Barbara Thompson

Sadly we heard today that an ex-volunteer at Options has passed away. Barbara Thompson used to volunteer at Options but sadly died after battling cancer. We wrote a card for her husband and put a Macmillan star on the Christmas tree in the mall at the Pioneering Care Centre.

Halloween Disco

Last night was the Halloween Disco at Social Club. We have been getting ready for it for the past few weeks. We decorated the Foster Room as a Zombie room and turned the conservatory into a morgue. There was a disco and a raffle as well as some party games. Thomas Oakley won first prize in the raffle which was the Halloween Hamper, and Michael Smallman won best fancy dress. Everyone had a really good night.

Getting ready for Halloween

This week we have been getting ready for our Halloween Party. We have been really busy making zombies, bunting and other decorations for the party. We bought old clothes from the charity shop and stuffed them with newspaper to make them look like bodies.
