Karaoke Night at Social Club

Tonight was Karaoke Night at Options Social Club. We had the projector and big screen set up in the Foster room where people could pick a song to sing in front of everyone. There was a lot of dancing going on too and everyone had a great night!

Gardening Course

Today some of us went to the launch of the new PCP gardening project, Growing Our Community, after the garden has recently been refurbished to make it more accessible for wheelchair users. The launch included a tour around the new garden, soup and a roll, and we planted some onions and broad beans. Shaun stood up and gave a speech about volunteering in the garden and how it has helped him by boosting his confidence and skills.

Gym

Yesterday we all worked hard in the gym at the Leisure Centre.

Respecting Each Other

Today we learnt about respecting each other and how to treat people. We talked about what we like people to do when they're talking to us and what we don't like. We like people to look at us when speaking, be nice, pleasant, polite and good-mannered. We don't like people to say hurtful things, shout or disrespect us. When people speak to us nicely we feel happy, positive, excited, and motivated. When people speak to us horribly we feel upset, sad, worthless, frightened, small and nervous.

Quiz Making

Today we made a quiz for social club tonight.

Arts and Crafts

Today we did arts and crafts. We used photos to create a Options sign for the door.

Baking for MacMillan Coffee Morning

Today we baked some cakes for MacMillan Coffee Morning. We are donating our cakes to MacMillan to raise money for them. We made chocolate and vanilla butterfly cakes and some marble cupcakes and decorated them. The coffee morning takes place at the Pioneering Care Centre between 10am and 1pm.
