Options Voices

This morning we went shopping to buy refreshments for the room. Then we wrote up what each of us did at the Options Summer Festival. This afternoon we watched our Options Voices video to see what was important to people. You can watch the video below.

Options Summer Festival and Danceathon

Yesterday was the day of our first Options Summer Festival. We had a sponsored Danceathon running from 8:30am-8:30pm. We also had a coffee morning, a BBQ, wet sponge throwing, stalls, hook a duck, a treasure hunt and many other activities throughout the day. The Festival was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Baking

On Wednesday we enjoyed baking lots of tasty cakes and scones for our Summer Festival.

Meeting our new Community officer

This week we met our new Community Officer for our area.

Meet the Pioneering Care Partnership

Today Options met the Chief Executive of the Pioneering Care Partnership, Carol Gaskarth. We all thought of questions to ask Carol about herself and her role at the Pioneering Care Partnership.

We found out many interesting things about Carol and her role but the most surprising thing is that while driving she has her favourite sheep and cows that she talks to as she drives along!!!

15 Things to do with a pen

Today we thought about the different things you can do with a pen. Some of the things we thought of were play the drums, write, draw, scratch your back, point at something, make a fairy bridge and use it as a dipstick.
We also thought about what you can do with a piece of string. Some of the things we thought of include measuring, tug of war, see how deep things are, see how straight something is, skipping rope, hang your Christmas cards and decorations.

Battle of Britain

Today we researched the Battle of Britain as today marks the 75th anniversary of the battle. We also researched Winston Churchill who was Prime Minister at the time and led us to victory. It is important to remember the sacrifices people made at that time.
